Pelle Lindbergh
1984-1985
Philadelphia Flyers jersey worn by Pelle Lindbergh for most of the 1984-85 regular season. Lindbergh played in 65 regular season games, going 40-17-7 with a 3.02 GAA and a .899 save percentage, leading the league in wins and the Flyers to the Prince of Wales Trophy. In the playoffs, he led the Flyers to the Stanley Cup Finals, losing to the Edmonton Oilers dynasty. Lindbergh went 12-6 with a 2.50 GAA, a .914 save percentage, and 3 shutouts in those playoffs. Lindbergh was awarded the only Vezina of his career and was presented the trophy by his boyhood idol, Bernie Parent. Sadly, Pelle would pass away before the year was over, succumbing to injuries sustained during a car accident in November 1985.
