This stick was wielded by Terry Sawchuk during the 1954-55 season and is attributed to play in the Stanley Cup Finals. Sawchuk played in 68 regular season games, going 40-17-11 with a 1.96 GAA and 12 shutouts. In the playoffs, Sawchuk backstopped the Detroit Red Wings to their second consecutive Stanley Cup, finishing off the Montreal Canadiens in 7 games. Sawchuk finished the playoffs with an 8-3 record, 2.36 GAA, and 1 shutout. For his efforts, Sawchuk was awarded the third Vezina Trophy of his career. Terry Sawchuk was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1971.
